Tom Hancock

Tom commenced his legal career at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Qld) in 2017. He commenced as a  Crown Prosecutor in August 2021.

Tom has spent the following years prosecuting serious criminal matters in the Childrens, District and Supreme Courts of Queensland, appearing for the Crown in various trials, sentences, legal arguments, and appellate hearings.

Tom was called to the bar in 2024 and joined 31 Sturt Chambers in July of 2024. Tom practices primarily in criminal law and has a specific interest in accepting briefs in regional and remote parts of Queensland.
